Her goal to see people confident and happy motivates her attention to the guest in her chair, attention to detail, and her artistic creativity. Raised in Richmond she has traveled extensively. Leslie worked as an assistant in salons while attending college full time where she learned not only traditional styling, cutting, and the chemistry of the hair, but also to follow the modern trends. Beginning her career in Texas, she later moved on to the west coast where she expanded her interest in product knowledge and became an educator. She also participated in the “Look Good Feel Better” program. She continually attends training to remain relevant in the industry.

“Education  is the key to success, the more I learn and challenge myself the more I have to offer. And I’m able to keep up with what I love to do, making people feel their beauty from the inside out.”

Erika Mihalovich

Erika is an award-winning master stylist. She began her career in 1996 in Richmond but expanded her education and practice to New York City, Boston & Seattle. Training under cutting-edge talent like John Sahag shaped her non-conventional approach to sculpting hair. Haloeffekt was born out of the desire to create an intimate setting for her clients and offer a flexible schedule allowing her to prioritize her family.

Erika joined forces with Elle in 2019 and currently works alongside Leslie in one of our Carytown locations.

Named Richmond’s top stylist by Style Weekly for 5 years in a row, Erika continues to deliver precision and passionate hairstyling that inspires. Linda Goudie

Linda started her career in 2000 as an aesthetician and quickly discovered her passion was instead in hair! She was trained in pivot-point cutting techniques and steadily became a Wella and Schwarzkopf color expert. Her inspirations being drawn from colors and textures found in nature… kid’s sun-kissed highlights, beachy blonde waves, or fall leaves as the seasons change.

As Linda’s career has developed, she has committed herself to only creating the things that she is proud of doing, which is natural, healthy, lived-in cuts and color, making foilayage/balayage, one of her favorite things to do. Using the Wella color line, she can custom formulate the perfect shade for grey coverage/blending, foil highlighting/lowlighting, and a combination of both. She also loves to custom create looks, taking into consideration a person’s face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle.

Believing highly in continuing education, Linda has attended numerous classes and hair events, specializing in cutting and color. She is also certified in Brazilian blowouts. Linda’s work has been featured in The Richmond Times-Dispatch, Style Weekly, Richmond Magazine, Richmond Bride, and Southern Weddings.

Linda’s quote to live by is “if you can’t find it, create it!” And that is exactly what she did, along with her three business partners when they decided to establish Elle Style Studio. She decided to take that a step further and open a third location in 2020, alongside her business partner, Beth Cox and colleagues Trip Foster and Ali Hall.

Linda currently resides in Hanover with her husband and two children.

Beth Cox

Beth first decided to pursue a career in hair after her path in corporate America proved to be less than gratifying. “I was always intrigued with fashion and beauty, and played around with doing color and trims for friends in college. After a girlfriend’s bachelorette party where I styled some updo’s, I was nudged to consider making a career change. It was the best professional decision I had made in my life!”  Beth began a two year apprenticeship at Nesbit Salon in early 2000, and has worked in the industry ever since. Beth joined the team at Elle Style Studio in May of 2017, and in October of 2020, along with fellow stylist Linda Goudie, opened our newest location at 3317 W. Cary Street.

Beth works primarily with Davines color and products, and aspires to create custom haircuts that compliment your face shape, and also work within the limits of your styling and maintenance comfort zone. Beth incorporates multiple forms of color application in her daily work regimen including permanent and semi permanent multi-tonal techniques, full gray coverage or blending, and foil and balayage highlighting.  Beth is also trained in Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments.  “I love creating styles that move naturally and reflect light, and hair that looks lived in.  I’m drawn to believable, natural color tones...deep rich browns, warm auburns, and bright, sun-kissed blondes.”

Beth is a VCU graduate with a degree in marketing and resides in Henrico County with her husband, daughter, son, and two wacky dogs!

Her background consists of styling on many exciting photoshoots and projects, from a hair production assistant for HBO, makeup artist for The NBC Dream Wedding for 3 consecutive years, styling for The Martin Agency , styling for the Wolf Fording catalog and styling for a local photographer. She is also specialized in the Ouidad textured curly cut technique as well as the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments.
